Cozy but Haunted is a family-run small business inspired by horror, comfort, and generational creativity.

My daughter creates the original characters and illustrations that spark each collection.
My dad’s lifetime of fine art forms the foundation of our artistic identity.
And I serve as the creative director and maker, designing collections, producing each piece, and shaping the brand behind the scenes.

Our Roots

Before Cozy but Haunted existed, there was my dad, Jim Pearson, the original artist of our family. He spent decades creating fine art, portraits, wildlife pieces, surreal work, and deeply emotional canvases. His artistry shaped our creative world in profound ways, and now that he is moving into retirement, we honor and preserve his legacy here. We will occasionally offer limited prints of his work so his creativity can continue to find homes beyond ours.

But he never did it alone. My mom worked beside him through every season of his art career. She helped run the business, managed the behind-the-scenes work, organized his projects, and supported his creativity in all the ways that truly matter. The two of them created not only artwork, but a life built on imagination, hard work, and shared passion.

In many ways, I am doing now for my daughter what my mom did for my dad. Their partnership is part of the foundation of our family’s creative lineage, and it lives on in every piece we make.

Cozy but Haunted is not just a small shop. It is a continuation of a family tradition.
